The break is subtracted first, optional rounding is applied second, and repeat count is applied last.
A time duration is the elapsed interval between a starting point and an ending point. For clock times on the same day, subtract the start from the end. If a shift crosses midnight, carry the end time into the following day before subtracting.
Breaks are normally removed after finding the raw elapsed duration. For example, a 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM interval is eight hours. Subtracting a 30-minute break leaves a net duration of 7 hours 30 minutes, or 7.5 decimal hours.
